  First off all, let's be clear, there is no building that looks like the one shown in the picture. This "agency" is at the tool rental desk inside the Home Depot. Nice fantasy, but it's a part-time Home Depot employee working the car rental section of the desk. The day before, I had reserved a van through Penske, put down a $150 deposit and went to the Home Depot car rental agency at the appointed time to pick up my van. After 10 minutes of trying to get the Penske rental system working, I was told there was no rental under my name. I actually brought the paperwork because I am leery of car rental agencies anyway. Despite the documentation, no van waiting for me. My blood pressure began to rise and the employee said "someone came in and rented the van this morning" so the system kicks you out when that happens. Oh, really. So, my "reservation" means nothing and a deposit is worthless. I have a disabled son at home and I alloted a few hours to take care of a busines moving situation and this is no small issue for me so I let them know how ridiculous and unprofessional this was. To his credit, another employee got on the phone and said that another H.D. about 5 miles away had 2 vans ready to go there, if I wanted to make the trip. I had no choice, so I headed off to get one. When I arrived, to make a long story short, the van they had available was a Home Depot rental, not a Penske rental. Different price, different terms, all at about double the cost of the first reservation. I had no choice though, so I commited, got the van and did my job. Avoid Penske at all costs, unless you have nothing but time and money to burn on incompetence and bad business practices. I could say more about how I avoid Home Depot as well, but that's for another time, I suppose.

  Made reservation the day prior, there was an issue because I reserved it through the phone. The time slot wasnt available and the manager at the location called me back for an option that works best with me. Great customer service when picking up the truck. Easy and fast process.

  Made reservations a month in advance and when I arrived at agreed time, there's no truck there. They wanted me to drive 25 minutes to other location to pick up a truck while I'm paying the mileage on the truck, no thank you!! Then a hour later they called me and sent me to other location nearby. Once I arrived, they only had smaller truck with no ramp. So after 3 hours of the baloney and helpers waiting around, I ended up renting from u haul!! So disappointed!!
