I’ve been a loyal Valley Kia customer for years—this is my second personal lease, and between my family and me, we’ve acquired about 13 vehicles there over the past 4–6 years. The deals have always been great, and Terrance Cooper and his team have consistently treated us well.
At the end of December, I leased a new Kia Sportage. About a week later, I noticed significant door, hatch, and fender alignment issues. Terrance asked me to bring it in, and the service manager, John, agreed the alignment was off. The vehicle was sent to a third-party vendor for correction.
I dropped the Sportage off on December 30 and was provided a rental. Since then, communication has been unclear and inconsistent. Aside from automated notifications, there has been little direct follow-up, and it appears the dealership, management, and third-party vendor are not effectively communicating with one another. On January 5, I received a notification showing the vehicle 12–15 miles away, yet the dealership could not confirm which shop had it or whether the work was being performed to OEM standards.
Additionally, when I contacted Kia Consumer Affairs, I was informed that two cases were open—one incorrectly referencing my previously traded-in Kia Seltos, which had no issues. This raised further concerns about record accuracy and oversight regarding my Sportage.
At this point, all I am asking for is what I paid for: a reliable, safe, and properly assembled vehicle, free of defects—cosmetic or otherwise. Given my long history with Valley Kia, this experience has been disappointing.

The service department is not helpful they never answer the phone when you call. They act like they care and want to help they test drive your car and don't even fill up the tank. They say they wash your car when it's still dirty with bird shit. They supposedly repair your vehicle only to take it home the next day with the exact same problem and they lie and say no codes come up in the system but how is that possible if its showing and I am telling them the issue is still not fixed when they claim it is. Costing me my time and money beyond repair. So now I'm out a vehicle that according to the dealership a part that is more than my car is worth and a bill for other parts I just paid for. When I could of saved my money and invested in a new car they made me feel like I got scammed and there is nothing I can do but post this because it's completely unfair so stay away from this Kia dealership they have no class or respect.
We were looking for a small SUV with good night driving capabilities , and contacted Kia Modesto for a test drive of the Kia Sportage 2026. Anna at Kia Modesto was very helpful in setting up the test drive and guiding us through dimly lit roads, so we could get a good feel for the headlights, driving at night. It really was among the better SUVs we drove. The larger navigation screen was the other major plus , for driving in this area .
Thank you Anna, and Kia Modesto

We purchased a brand new Kia Soul last week. We worked with Howard. He was respectful, kind and fair. We had visited a few other dealerships but walked away each time because of a lack of respect/pushiness. I would work with Howard over and over, he gets 10 stars! Thank you for working with us a getting us the perfect car!

We came in on Monday November 17th to make a deal on a 2025 Kia Sorento Hybrid. We had already discussed getting an out-the-door price (including taxes, title, and fees), and we *shook hands* on $49,300 OTD.
Lo and behold, when the paperwork came out, the salesperson (Anna) and Sean tried to **bake my $5,000 down payment into the “out-the-door” price**. If I hadn’t caught it myself on the final paperwork, I would’ve never noticed they were actually charging me **$54,300**, not the agreed-upon ~$49,300k OTD. That is extremely shady.
Secondly, I paid the $5,000 down payment using my debit card. I was told the charge would be reversed immediately. It wasn’t. I had to call this dealership **four or five times**, and even **seven days later**, the refund still hadn’t been processed. I had to call again at the end of the business day Tuesday November 25th just to confirm it was finally being taken care of. Which it had not even been processed yet!
And lastly, instead of apologizing, they made **me** feel like the problem for simply wanting my **own $5,000** refunded.
Overall, this was one of the most unprofessional car-buying experiences I’ve ever had. I would never do business here again. Buyers, **double-check your paperwork** and be careful. I will be sure to share this experience with anyone I hear buying a new car for years to come.
We ended up going with Folsom Lake Kia and we got the same vehicle for 49,500 OTD, no shady business.
