I was sold a used 2021 Subaru Crosstrek for around $17,000 that had a three month 3,000 mile warranty and purchased an additional three year 30,000 mile warranty from Santa Cruz Subaru who shares the same owner. Additionally, I also paid for a $1500 full service maintenance when I initially purchased a vehicle. after that maintenance I was told that the car and the battery were in great working shape… when the car‘s battery needed to be replaced after only having driven the car for 800 miles I then had to convince Santa Cruz Toyota that they had sold me a car with a nearly failing battery. under Goodwill, They did end up replacing it after doing multiple trips between Santa Cruz Subaru and Santa Cruz Toyota. when I asked for confirmation that the battery replacement would be the correct Subaru OEM EFG battery that works consistently for Subaru auto start stop vehicles, I was told that it would be the correct battery. when I came back to pick up the car I saw that they replaced the battery with a third-party battery that has lower CCA rating (538) than what Santa Cruz Subaru recommended for this car which is between 620 and 700 CCAs. Neither Santa Cruz Subaru or Santa Cruz Toyota could confirm whether it was a standard flooding battery or an enhanced flooding battery. I’m thankful that they eventually replace the battery as they should’ve before they sold me the car, but I’m disappointed that they decided to replace it with a third-party battery that isn’t that recommended CCA rating that’s not an EFG battery which is recommended for this auto start-stop car. when I take this car back to Santa Cruz Subaru or Santa Cruz Toyota the next time it needs maintenance I will expect to have to petition or convince them to do proper service on the car. Going forward, I will now be cautious about the work that’s done on my car when I take it in.

They scammed me and my girlfriend! Nathan scammed us!!!!! He told us I would have to pay x amount and I got a bill from a bank that is over 3 times that high!!!! Car salesman are scammers and this place is no different! Tried to make us feel special because we are local! And we even bought the dumb in house oil change packet! So stupid! This place and Nathan are terrible people!!!!! Scammers and liars!

Such incredible and knowledgeable staff and service technicians! I purchased a used toyota from a different dealership and was able to take it here for routine oil change.They were able to access all the previous records and provided all the information I need for future maintenance. Pricing was upfront and very honest, the shuttle service (steve) was exceptional and so kind! all staff were so personable-Kevin at the service desk was very welcoming, and he truly cares about his customers and quality honest work!

My experience with Toyota of Santa Cruz and the service department has always been good. The work has always been done expediently and the shuttle service can’t be beat, when you have only one car in the family. Over the last 30 years we have purchased 2 new vehicles from them and 1 used vehicle. The 1st used vehicle was a Ford Taurus which ran great until a deer ran in front of me on Hwy 17. The 1st new vehicle was a 1998 Camry which we put 300K miles on before we sold it. The current new vehicle is a 2023 Rav 4 Prime which we love. We rarely buy more than 1/2 a tank of gas a month for it. We regularly get 45 to 50 miles on a charge. I would highly recommend Santa Cruz Toyota for buying and maintaining a vehicle.
