I got the car that I wanted for a low APR. They offered extra service plan packages that increased my vehicle’s price which were optional. You can take it or leave it. But if you think that it will be beneficial for you, I recommend taking the offer.
They gave me discounts for the service plans that I took. I got the 2026 Crosstrek Limited. My husband and I left the dealership happy that we got what we came looking for. Highly recommended!

I'll start by saying that I absolutely love my Subaru, it is my dream car and has 100% met my expectations, but getting service from this place has been a nightmare.
My Crosstrek is the last model that has a "tethered" system for my phone to connect to the car's computer and, more specifically, the CarPlay feature. After having my Crosstrek for 1 year the CarPlay feature stopped working randomly. This made it so my maps, music, and other apps couldn't be displayed on the center console screen. I could still connect via Bluetooth, but a lot of the features were limited.
I brought it in to be serviced at Santa Cruz Subaru and they said it was probably because the computer system needed an update. That made sense, so I bought a regular service and they updated the computer at the same time. When I picked it up, I still couldn't get the CarPlay feature to work. The service department just said to drive around and that it would "come back" soon. Several days go by and it's still the same as before. I call Santa Cruz Subaru again and they say it must be a tech issue, so they give me the name of the "tech" guy who you can schedule an appointment with & he is supposed to help you with tech issues related to your car.
I tried 3 times to schedule with this guy and he never returned my calls or voicemails and whenever I came in person to the Santa Cruz Subaru location he was "never there." They also said they couldn't schedule me with him because he created his own schedule.
THREE MONTHS go by and I still don't have my CarPlay back. I go back to Santa Cruz Subaru and they tell me there's another update for the car's computer system, so it will probably work this time when they update it. This time they also advise me to update my phone to the newest version as well (which they didn't mention before).
I do all of this and still... no CarPlay. Finally, I decide I'm sick of waiting & do a deep dive on the internet and learn how to fix it myself. I restarted my car's computer and my phone several times during this process and you know what it ended up being...
A cord. I literally just needed a new USB cord. As soon as I attached a brand new USB cord to the tethered system my CarPlay came back immediately.
This seems like it should be EXTREMELY basic knowledge that even the customer service person should have been able to perform. I can't believe I waited 3 months, 2 full system updates from Santa Cruz Subaru, and being ignored by their tech guy to figure out it was just a new cord.
Super not cool guys.

My salesman Jeff was the best, he was respectful of my requests, he did not try and up-sell me. He is down to earth, no pressure, he was extremely nice and genuine. Not anything like you would expect of a car salesman, being fake, pushy and having his own agenda.
The dealership has great coffee and cookies. Be sure and ask for Jeff if you're interested in a Subaru.

I went in to get a recall taken care of--seat heater in my Impreza. They were polite and easy to work with. The issue is that despite keeping the car longer than expected and telling me it was fixed, it is not fixed. Still no functioning seat heater. They also did a car inspection and told me that my transmission pan was leaking--no further detail. As you fellow Subaru drivers may know, there is no way to check transmission fluid in these cars without lifting them up, so I took it to my family mechanic to have a look. That cost $100, and could have cost a lot more. There was NO ISSUE.
Bottom line is that they didn't deliver on the agreed service, and told me a manipulative lie (no doubt hoping that I would pay them to rebuild the transmission, expensive) that cost me money. I wish that I never went in.

Santa Cruz Subaru was superb in their Service Department.
Advisor David Rivera kept me in the loop as the car was worked on and any additional items needed. It was a major service mileage and this department delivered on all cylinders. Technician that worked on car provided detail video of what was going to be worked on and the conditions of prior & post work. This video feature was greatly appreciated!
Subaru is running smoothly and attention to detail was much appreciated. Car was washed and engine cleaned as part of the service.
Excellent service!
