This public EVgo charging station in Tempe provides fast charging for all major electric vehicles. Located on 1230 West Elliot Road, it's near Dollar Tree. The site offers 24/7 access, is ADA-compliant, and supports both CCS and CHAdeMO connectors. While charging, drivers can visit nearby shops or grab food within walking distance. Customers can use the EVgo app to check charger availability, track sessions, and view Time-of-Use pricing where available. It's a convenient and reliable option for both local drivers and those passing through the area.
Needed a quick charge to get home - 20 miles cost me $10...the flat $2.99 credit card fee then something like $.69/wh. I rarely use charging stations but the times I have, I got a whole lot more for a whole lot less.
EV users don't want to download 20 different apps and make 20 different accounts to charge their vehicles. I guess theres a discount if you do but I was just in need of a quick 20 miles.
That said...it did charge very fast and I didnt have any issues with anything, so very satisfactory there! Probably got 20 miles in about 3-4 min.

Like most of the different charging networks, you end up using the EV go app, so do you want to have that on your phone and set up with a credit card before you go, as it will make the experience of charging much smoother.
The first time I went, around lunchtime, every charging station was occupied. I waited as long as I could and gave up.
Later in the afternoon I checked the app, and it indicated that one of the four charging stations in this location was available. It was still available when I got there. I plugged in and charged with no trouble. So, other than wishing they had more charge points at this location, it was a good experience. Also, all of these stations were working. I can’t say the same for the electrify America installation on Arizona Mills Road, in which nearly every charger is not working. What a mess.

Use at your own risk! This is the 2nd time their faulty chargers have gotten stuck to my car! It's hell getting someone to come and get your car disconnected! I'm stuck here with my small grandchildren and it's 120 degrees! Last time I had to leave my car and get an uber home!
