We recently took our living quarters horse trailer to Campers World in Dothan, AL for repairs to the bathroom subfloor, replaced water pump, a few more small things. Although there was a delay in service (we were expecting a quicker turn around then what actually happened) due to being down to one technician. They still worked hard and delivered a repaired trailer on time (we had a deadline of when we needed it back). The flooring work is excellently done IMO. Somer in services was great to work with. The only con is that it is hard at times to get a direct answer when calling in but it’s not for the lack of staff. There is just so many of them to go around! Always pleasant to speak with on the phone. Email communications were great, pictures included of damage and then repair. Thank you again to the staff and technicians who repaired our trailer so we could get back to horsing around 🐎

If I could give negative stars I would. We came into camping world and signed papers on a Coleman 13b. We looked at the camper they had in the building which looked great. We had to wait a few days for them to prepare our camper and detail it. We thought we were picking up a brand new camper but that was not the case. When I arrived to pick up the camper I was told to do a walk around with one of the techs to make sure everything was okay with the camper. The camper had extensive damage to the metal outside, scratches all on the interior, wallpaper in the shower was already pealing off, scratching and marks on the ceiling inside and much more. When I told the tech that it was unacceptable and I would not be taking the camper I was told we already signed the papers and it was ours to take, was also told don’t worry it’s all covered under manufacture warranty. We had no choice but to take the camper.
The first time camping in the Coleman the entire interior flooded. I called camping world immediately and Riley the service writer said keystone had emailed them stating the ac drip pan was installed incorrectly which could cause the water to drip inside.
We were told our camper was ready to be picked up so I went up there to check it and take it home. Where they reinstalled the ac they failed to caulk it on the outside. They installed a new shower wall and pan but did not fix the peeling wallpaper. There was nothing wrong with the shower pan. They removed and replaced the metal on the rear of the camper. The damage was to the front and the left side of camper so that was also not fixed. The scratched and scrapes inside the camper were still there along with new ones from where they had to tear out the bed and rebuild it because of the water damage. The water flooded the entire camper under the sink, the bunks, and under the bed and the only thing they replaced was the bed.
Now we have a brand new camper with extensive amounts of damage and repairs and we have to deal with it. Do not buy from camping world of Dothan. Management sucks. Turnover rates are extremely high with employees. Just google all the reviews of camping world. We should have researched before buying from them, hard lesson learned. We are trying to allow camping world to resolve this outside of court but our attorney keeps insisting we litigate the process. Hopefully they make it right with us but upon researching other situations like this one it doesn’t seem like they will resolve the issue unless taken to court. Our camper cost less than what they would spend in court so hopefully they will see this and actually give us a call back.

Terrible customer service experience.
On a Saturday, I went in to look at a Class C that I saw on the website and also listed on facebook marketplace. The price was different on the two listings. After test driving the RV we got to price and they gave me documentation showing the higher price. I asked about the lower price and eventually they said they would honor it. I pulled up the listing 15 minutes later and the listing had changed to the higher price. Very shady in my opinion.
Included in the final price was a “prep” fee that was ~$2,600. I asked what that was for and was told that it was to get the camper ready for me to drive off the lot. Fill the propane, ensure the batteries were full, etc. and a package of normal RV supplies that values about $4-500 max. Ensuring that the RV that they are selling functions properly should be standard and included in a price tag, not added on and sold as a service. I told them that I was not interested in the “prep” but was told it wasn’t optional at first. Eventually, they took the price of the prep down to $900. I took the documentation to figure out the financing piece and told them I would let them know. They attempted to pressure me by saying that there were others interested and I should put a deposit down and all of those salespeople tactics. I declined and eventually set up an appointment for the next Saturday to go back.
On the 2nd Saturday, I tried to bargain the price more and got them to come off ever so slightly. I paid a $5000 deposit and told them that I would bring the certified funds by Tuesday or Wednesday. I was able to get the funds on Tuesday by 4:45pm and called to let them know I would try to be there by 5:15pm to pick up the RV. I was told that this wasn’t possible because they had to prep the unit. Understandable. I tried to set up an appointment for 4:30pm on Wednesday and was told that they would set it for 3pm, even though I told them I had work until 4pm.
My understanding was I should be able to show up, have someone walk through the unit, sign some forms and be on my way. I had to have my wife and 4 children go with me to the store in order for me to be able to drive the RV back home. I signed the forms and we were able to get in and start looking through the unit. It became clear that things had not been given a full “prep”. Multiple cosmetic issues with trim and another with the functionality of a vent were noted along with a a tire that was low on air. The most glaring issue was that the A/C and microwave would not function while on generator power. I was told that the RV would need to be diagnosed and potentially repaired before I could take it. I had a compressed timeline where I was trying to move my family and household into the RV over the next day or so and asked if I could just have the diagnosis completed in a couple of weeks after the holiday break. I was informed that if I were to pursue that route Camping World Dothan would not guarantee that they would complete the work because it may not make business sense for them. In other words, they wouldn’t be willing to fix the issue if it was going to cost them too much money.
I complained that the prep was not ever actually completed and that this was due to a lack of quality assurance and overall lack of professionalism on their behalf and was met with very obstinate behavior from the sales manager, Michal Lum. He attempted to paint this shortfall of his product and process as my fault. He attempted to offer some lipstick-on-a-pig type of solutions to the issues that really would not have helped. After consulting with my wife, we decided we would rather just drop the deal altogether rather than do business with this establishment and this individual in particular.
I informed Michael and he said that not all of the deposit was refundable and that I still had to pay for the prep. Again, this prep was never completed. After having to cause a scene eventually he relented and said all of the funds would be returned. Overall very poor business practices and unprofessional management.

Screw this place. They are rude and try to make you give them your information before you can even look at an RV. I recommend no one buy from here. Stay away.
