    We recently moved to the Athens area. I have been pleasantly surprised by the great people at various places we have visited; however, Jimmy Smith Buick GMC will not be included on my good list. I have a safety issue with my truck that has less than 50k miles on it. When I stepped into the service department, one of their people just stood there for at least five minutes before asking me if I needed anything, no smile to be found, I might add. I was told it would be a week before they could get my vehicle in to be checked out, even though I told them it was not safe to drive, as my truck stalled out in the middle of a busy highway, twice. I'm fairly certain it's a powertrain issue, still covered under warranty and I expressed that to the stoic service rep. His response was that they would charge a diagnostic fee of $185 and that the fee could possibly be covered if it is a warranty issue. I think it would be wise for dealer owners to educate all of their people, whether on the sales or service side, to remember that the customer has choices and at any given time could be a customer who will be purchasing a new car. I love my GMC and will eventually replace it with another, but it won't be at this dealership. Call me old fashioned, but employees are a representation of the organization as a whole.

    I live in GA. I was looking for GM Certified vehicle. I found one advertised as manufacturer certified on Autotrader. It is a filter on Autotrader. I asked them to send me the papework (they didn't). I said I wanted to make sure it was a GM certified vehicle, and they said it will come with the warranty it was advertised with. Once I read the ad, it is is some nonsense CarBravo third party BS. Just misleading. And, they wouldn't answer my question directly AND they didn't send me the paperwork to review. Just shady BS. Stay away!

    Was looking at trading online on Sunday filled out a request to check availability and got a response back that day (I was expecting Monday) these folks are easy to deal with gave me a fair offer on trade in If looking for a car with people willing to help not pressure this is a good place to start Highly recommend

    Setup my appointment for Oct 17th with a drop off the night before. When I got tot the dealership they said the appointment had been set for the follow Friday so that was a good start, the service guy I spoke with was rude the entire time. My truck was going in on recall for the engine and asked them to look at the trans because it was acting up, they called Friday and said the truck was done and I went to pickup. When i got there I asked what the outcome was and was told the engine is good, when i asked about the transmission they said we didn’t look at it. I asked if they could and was told I’d have to bring it back, well that sucks. In the end everyone I encountered in the service department besides the guy that picked me to go get my truck was rude and unfriendly. I wouldn’t go back there
