Love the concept and potential! Unfortunately the execution for some of the camera angles & views to watch football games (can’t speak to all sports just college FB) doesn’t meet the price points being charged imho. In other words the price/value isn’t aligned to retain faithful repeat customers….Yet! I’ve been twice so I could get views from level 2 (row A seats) & level 1 (row B seats) both in the middle of screen. Ex: On the 50 yard line (up high) view of entire field the camera vibrates (assume it’s mounted to stands so when they get rowdy camera goes nuts) at times which isn’t good. When the camera angle switches to players level the views are often blocked especially when ball is between the 40’s in the middle of the field behind all the banners used to help make calls. The end zone camera views feels like you’re a player seeing exactly what they see in real time. That was very cool. Overall cool experience! Food tasted ok but I’m hoping it will be enhanced to match the experience. Service is a hit and miss from my 2 visits. I noticed some fans received great follow up and continuous service and those who sat around me had same waitress who disappeared for long periods! I didn’t need her constantly but once in a while would be good and others were looking for her. lol

We really enjoyed watching The Matrix at the Cosm. It was really cool to feel like you were immersed in the experience with the spherical screen, and the background extending on the surrounding screen. We had great seating. I had checked reviews extensively before I bought tickets and I ended up buying tickets for the second row of the third level. That was a perfect choice for the movie. However, if we were to go back and watch a sporting event, I would sit on the second level. I definitely think this was a worthwhile experience. The people that came with me really enjoyed it. One downside is they seemed short staffed on servers. We had to ask our waitress three times for a Diet Coke and when it finally came, it wasn’t even a Diet Coke. It was root beer. Having free parking was nice.

This was my first time visiting this venue to see O by Cirque du Soleil. I’ve seen a few Cirque shows live before, and honestly, this one didn’t have quite the same energy or colorful vibe I’m used to. Maybe the immersive screen format just can’t match that live feel. If it had been Alegría (which I’m familiar with), it might’ve been easier to compare. Before the main feature, they showed how the venue is set up for sports events — super cool! I had seats on Level 2 in a booth, and the view was excellent. I also checked out Levels 1 and 3 — I wouldn’t recommend Level 1, but Level 3 looked pretty good. Even though the Cirque show didn’t wow me, the venue itself was really impressive. I definitely plan to come back for a sports event — can’t wait to see it in action! Maybe this venue might get rated with 5 stars. One more detail, staff was friendly.

My wife and I and our two toddlers went to see a Champions League soccer game. We sat in the Hall not the Dome. There was a table of two next to us and a table of four above us. So NOT busy at all. Completely open. We ordered chips and guac and it took them 30 mins to bring out chips with salsa and guac and that was because I went up there to check with the server. When they brought out the chips and salsa; 40th min of the 1st half of the soccer game; we ordered our meals, chicken sandwich and a salad. It never came out and no one never came to our table to check on us. Finally 50 mins later, 80th min of the 2nd half, game almost over; I went up there and told the server I was ready to check out and I noticed the check included the meals that we never got. Server played it off and acted surprised that we never got our food. I work in the customer service industry as well so I went ahead and tipped the server the lowest option of 15% but I shouldn’t have had. The three huge screens on the Hall are NOT that clear either. However, I still recommend going to see a sporting event at the Dome only but don’t order any food or drinks.

This was by far one of THE BEST experiences in the DFW area. Long post alert, but im writing everything I wish I knew before going! So the parking garage is around the corner; it was a quick 2 min walk to COSM; there was a lot of parking available when I went. COSM and the parking garage was in the Grandscape complex. Now somethint to note is that you can't go in to COSM until 30 mins before your movie starts. The reason is that it is not a traditional movie theater that is a closed off space where you find your theater number and walk through the doors. For COSM, there is only one space and it is connected to the lobby. So anyone in the lobby could actually see the movie. Its an interesting unique setup. When you walk in and go upstairs, there is a bar and then the movie seats are by the screen. You can also watch sports and games here. If you love sports and don't live far from the Colony, this is the way to do it. They don't have previews of other movies but they show highlights of games. And let me just say, it is the wildest thing because the point of view is as if you are courtside or literally on the field. And this is not an exaggeration! Showing the sports highlights was an excellent marketing strategy. I am not into sports but I would come to watch a game just for the experience. There are three levels. DO NOT GET SEATS ON LEVEL 1. They are on the floor level and WAY TOO CLOSE to the screen and also you might not get the full experience. I wouldn't suggest getting seats on Level 3 either - especially the balcony seats. The reason is again, you will not get the full experience. Best seats in the house handsdown are Level 2 Row 1 and Row 2 right in the center. Those center seats are couches - they are like very large booth seats. Side chairs (chairs to the left and to the right of center chairs) on Level 2 (both row 1 and row 2) are still okay but the best view is right in the middle. Seats were comfortable. End seats on the couches almost alows you to prop your feet up so those seats have the most room. You can only purchase 2 seats at a time on Level 2 row 1 and 2. Also, unless you buy all the seats on the center couches, you will likely be seating on the couch next to strangers. However, seats are not tight but a good size so I thought it was fine. And the couches have arm rests that separates seats. Now for the experience, the screen extends all the way to the far left and far right and all the way up to the ceiling. So if you get seats on Level 1 or Level 3 you will not see everything to the left or right or the ceiling. There are some seats on a round table. DO NOT GET THE CHAIRS THAT ARE STAND ALONE because they back to the screen. Yes you can turn them around but you will probably block someone. So the cheaper seates are cheaper for a reason. If you want the full experience, get the center seats on Level 2 rows 1 and 2. We watched Matrix. If you are going to watch a movie at Cosm, Matrix would be it. Our tickets included a Blue Drink or Red Drink as a hats off to the blue pill and red pill. They have both alcoholic and non-alcoholic versions of the drink. Both were great but ticket only came with one glass. Then, we got food bites that were served during specific scenes of the movie: noodles, steak with grits and an oracle chocolate chip cookie. The food was enough to wet your appetite and it was a delightful surprise to find out that it came with the tickets. My only critism is that they didnt have popcorn 😞. But the food bites still gave me something to eat while I watched. I read the reviews on the food where not the best but I didnt purchase any food since the tickets came with bites to eat. My biggest advice: GO to experince COSM at least once! 10 out of 10, I do recommend. Was it expensive? Heck yes lol. 4 tickets where over $500. But was the experience worth it? 100% yes. Its great to go for a birthday or celebration!!! Will be back to watch Willy Wonka (i hope they have the food experience for it!!!)
