Unfortunately, once we were seated at the bar, the experience took a turn for the worse. There were people standing directly behind us who not only crowded our space but were literally reaching over our shoulders and placing their empty drink glasses right in front of us, in front of our own glasses of wine. It felt especially rude and really made us feel uncomfortable and claustrophobic. To add to this, when our pizza was served to us—something we ordered directly from the bar—those same people behind us actually tried to take the pizza from the server. It was clear they were not seated at the bar, yet they were allowed to place orders and hover around us, while we were told we had to use another designated area if we wanted to sit elsewhere. This gave the impression that the bartenders might be playing favorites with regulars over new customers, which really didn’t feel welcoming. Overall, we felt that this crowding and lack of fair treatment definitely took away from our experience. We hope that in the future, some crowd control and a more consistent approach to seating and ordering will help everyone have a more enjoyable time.
