Located in Monroe County, we are the official training school for Rochester City Ballet, Rochester’s premier professional ballet company.     We switched our 8-year-old daughter to Draper Center for Dance Education at the beginning of the year, and the transformation in her technique and confidence has been nothing short of incredible. Her teachers are the perfect balance of disciplined and kind—so knowledgeable, supportive, and truly amazing at what they do. The level of instruction and focus on both proper form and performance is unmatched. It’s clear that Draper is not only the best dance school in the Rochester area, but possibly beyond. The progress she’s made in such a short time has blown us away, and we can’t wait to see how she continues to grow here. We have also had an amazingly welcoming experience from the other dancers as well as parents! We’re so thankful to have found this incredible school!

    Not only is this the main origin of professional ballet dancers in Rochester, it also offers very approachable and affordable classes for beginners. The studios are well maintained and the teachers are professional and really understand how to both dance beautifully and ensure that your form is safe for your body.

    The Timothy M Draper Center for Dance Education is amazing place to dance because I dance there so take my word for it. Draper is the feeder school so if you do go threw all the way to the end of Draper's level you might be asked to be in the Rochester City Ballet. I hope that someday I'll get into that. As a paid professional.
