  The coat check person lost my coat, he gave it to someone else, when I told him about this matter he said, he was just security and that he wasn't suppose to work that night smh This was Saturday the Duchi Quinceañera.

  I have been in the event planning business for many years, which has let me to travel to several states and a few countries. My first part time job as an assistant for a Party planner was at the age of 17, my first event was here at the Astoria World Manor. From the moment I walked in, I was in love. The tall ceiling, the mirrors, the grand stairs by the entrance, everything about it screamed elegance, each banquet room decorated beautifully and different to fit the needs of your event. Service is superb and the prices are unmatched with the industry. It's been a few years since I flew to NY to do an event here, but is still maintains its classic look, so if you're looking for a place to have your wedding, Quinces, holiday party or any celebration event, look no further.

  We recently hosted our daughter’s Sweet 16 at The Marque at Astoria, and the experience was exceptional from start to finish. From the very beginning, the management team was attentive, professional, and genuinely eager to meet our needs. They spent quality time with us walking through the floor plan, presenting thoughtful options for our presentations, and helping us plan every detail all the way through the end of the event. A special shout-out goes to Senior Sales Manager Sebastian Mejia, whose insight and expertise in floor planning and ballroom setup truly elevated the evening. His guidance made a huge difference in how beautifully everything came together. We are also incredibly grateful to General Manager Vicente Rojel for going above and beyond to accommodate our guests and ensure the event ran smoothly. The Sweet 16 was a complete success—and most importantly, our daughter and her guests had an absolute blast. We are so thankful to the entire team at The Marque at Astoria for helping us create such a memorable celebration. Warmest thanks to everyone involved. This venue is highly recommended.

  Everything was good with the exception of closing one Asian guy was being mean and opened the door at the back and made a comment that he wants us to be cold so we can hurry up and leave, which to us we felt really bad and one of my friends was arguing with him back and forth about it. And once we were done and waiting for the uber at the lobby the manager came and told us to leave the lobby and go and stand in the cold because he wants to close the door. This is unacceptable to your customers

  The atmosphere of the venue was pleasant, and the rooms themselves were nice and well laid out for an event. Unfortunately, the food was a major disappointment. The hors d’oeuvres consisted of pigs in a blanket, small slices of frozen microwave pizza, and fried microwave shrimp, none of which were appealing or well prepared. The fried rice was sticky, dry, and lacked flavor. The best food item was the pasta, which was acceptable but nothing memorable. The service staff was attentive and responsive, and they did their jobs well. However, they appeared disengaged, as if they did not want to be there, and their uniforms were poorly fitted and unprofessional, which detracted from the overall presentation. The bar service was also below expectations. None of the alcohol appeared to be name brand, and after one or two drinks, I experienced a headache, likely due to the quality of the alcohol. There were no name-brand sodas such as Sprite or Coca-Cola; instead, unbranded sodas were served in glass bottles, many of which were flat. When I raised this concern, the bartender explained that this was simply how the venue operates. While I understood that this was not his fault and that he was working with what was provided, it still negatively impacted the experience overall.
