It's too expensive for what you actually get to do. Most of the stations are either broken or in really bad shape.
The only nice part was the fish tanks and rainforest.

I am sad to rate Discovery Place one star. I drove all the way from Greensboro to see Avatar, but a fire prevented it.
I was assured by multiple employees I mattered as a valued customer and should get a free pass to a future showing. After a bunch of back and forth I initiated, all I got was an anonymous refund, and some weak excuse about being a non-profit
Non-profits ARE just like for-profit businesses with expenses, revenue, customers, and employees too!
They made a bad choice choosing $24 over a loyal valued customer and a bad reputation. I won’t be back, and don’t recommend anyone risking driving to Charlotte just to get turned around.

Went here with a friend for an adult Halloween night - it was SO fun. Lowkey, this is better than the St. Louis science center 🫣 I mean, if I was a kid I’d be here all day. The exhibits were so fun and relatable perfect for kids - made it fun to learn. They made it fun for adults!! It has multiple levels of exhibits, an imax theater, and a bunch of learning rooms. The interactivity of every single thing made it engaging the entire time.
