If it’s worth doing, it’s worth doing well - and correctly. Exceptional instruction focused on technique to prevent injury and to enhance artistry. Inclusive atmosphere, pre-professional training & discipline, explanations of why’s and how’s. This school provides an excellent foundation as attested by the many alumni who’ve gone on to careers with major companies while providing the rest of us a better appreciation, knowledge, & understanding of what it takes to get there.

Evanston School of Ballet is easily my favorite place. I have lived across the US and danced at many different studios, and ESB is simply the best. The community is wonderful - I have found my second family at this school. And the environment is unmatched. There is live accompaniment for each class, which brings everything to another level. Do not be fooled by the small size of the studio. It’s the perfect opportunity to receive personalized corrections and get to know all the students and teachers really well! The teachers and pianists are always super prepared for class, so learning combinations (even complicated ones) is a very smooth experience. We also repeat patterns for 3 weeks so that we can master them before moving on. I cannot recommend ESB enough!!

There is no other comparable classical ballet education that I know of in the entire area; The Evanston School of Ballet instructors relate well to students of all ages and capabilities. They engage the dancers and inspire excellence and creativity. They simply teach the highest of standards. Period.

My daughters have danced at several studios on the North Shore. With its only focus on ballet, Evanston School of Ballet is amazing and solid. Their small classroom size allows for Ms Meghann and Ms Kerri to keep a close eye on each dancers movement. Don't be fooled by their small studio. If its true that ballet is the foundation of dance, then this is the place to be!
