- SNSherry Nohara1 day ago2.0A few years ago, I would’ve given Consolidated Ward 5 stars. It had always been our go-to movie theater. But last night, we went there, and my seat smelled. It was a combination of must and human odor. The theater was warm. And the women’s restroom was out of paper towels (I tried 3 dispensers). They only give one very small cardboard box per order now (there is a sign at the concession register that says this). I imagine margins must be low in the theater industry and rent must be astronomical at Ward, but at the prices we pay for tickets and food at the movies these days (and Consolidated Ward is usually quite busy), I would expect more. I also saw the big upgrades Regal Theaters made at Iwilei (both to their theaters and food offerings) and they get far less foot traffic than Consolidated. I hope Consolidated Ward has plans to update its facilities soon.

I saw her be really nice to her Asian community, but when we came, she told us our ticket is not valid, we should get out, even tho we had just purchased the ticket at the machine, and our ticket already had gotten checked by staff. And yes, our ticket was valid in the end! We had a phone number for free popcorn and candy, and she kept telling other staff to not sell to us.
